Kenya, East Africa – Dec 8, 2011
Traveled back to Nairobi in the morning. It is about a 3 1/2 hour drive. Many, many speed bumps on the roads here, even on multi-lane highways. Traffic here is indescribable. Right of way is generally just whoever gets into a space first. Thus, the more daring you are, the more right of way you get… The number of lanes on a road is determined by how wide the vehicles are that are there that moment. People, motorcycles, bicycles, animal carts all weaving in and out of the traffic. Many times I wished I could get an aerial picture of some of the intersections we went through.
In the afternoon we made a trip to our lawyer’s office in Nairobi to file paperwork.
Please continue to pray fervently for the work here. Progress is being made, and surely the Lord is working. There are yet many serious challenges, and the ministry will need much wisdom in directing the work here.
Also, as of this week, the paperwork is now in progress for Bro Simon Mutinda to get a visa to the US in order to come to the Ohio campmeeting. Please keep this in your prayers.
Bro. Jere Thilmony
